Do join us on Sunday June 19, 2016 for the BARC Father's Day hamfest in Upperco, MD. This exciting event features a giant flea market for traditional tailgating and food. Hours: 8 am.-2 pm. Location: the Arcadia Volunteer Fire Company grounds, 16020 Carnival Avenue, Upperco, MD 21155.

The 2015 hamfest was a success. The rain stopped and the sun came out early Sunday morning. The tailgaters and pavilion vendors who came did very well. We had plenty of room. The Snack Shack Truck was a hit. The bacon cheeseburgers were delicious. The vendor ran out of them once word got around. It was a great day and an enjoyable hamfest. Chris AB3WG won the BARC Hamfest "volunteer worker's prize--a Baofeng dual-band HT.

Remember, we are the last hamfest before ARRL Field Day for those last minute shoppers.

2015 Field DayARRL Field Day was June 27-28, 2015. This is the largest on-air amateur radio event in North America. We participated with the Hanover Area Hamming Association at their site at the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Company. We hope that you had a great time with the ARRL Field Day! Our Field Day event details. ARRL Field Day for 2016 is June 25-26, 2016.

This was the actual 200th anniversary. Thank you to those operators who helped with the event. QSLs for W3B are only for this timeframe.

QSL any of our contacts (any on-air activity): US-send SASE; DX-send SAE w/$1USD or use the bureau. For any direct mailing, an SASE or postage is required. Our mailing address is "Baltimore Amateur Radio Club-W3FT, P O Box 120, Reisterstown, MD 21136"; please mark your inbound envelope with the event name (if applicable). Logbook of the World is loaded promptly after any contacts are made.

13 Colonies

13 Colonies Special Event: July 1-6, 2014 -- 24 hrs. a day

BARC participated as W3FT in the 13 Colonies Special Event as a sister event to the July 4th celebration. We represented the 200th Anniversary of the Star Spangle Banner. This was an important part in history and a huge event for BARC. Congratulations to those hams who made a clean sweep by working all the 1x1 stations plus the bonus stations. We hosted hams from all over the area as operators--a hearty Thank You to those who helped. We have uploaded to Logbook of the World and over 500 QSL requests by USmail and the bureau have been answered.
